In collaboration with the Banani International School in Lusaka, Zambia, The Farzaneh Fund empowers recipients to participate in post-secondary development and service opportunities that aim to build skills, a better understanding, and the freedom to explore paths of service in education. Fund recipients are chosen by the Banani International School leadership and report about their learning and experiences at the end of their scholarship.

Origins of The Farzaneh Fund
The Mossayeb Foundation created The Farzaneh Fund in honor of Farzaneh Khalili Mossayeb, who went to Zambia in 1970 to work and serve as a member of the local Baha'i Faith community. During her time there, Farzaneh engaged actively as a community volunteer and worked professionally as a registered nurse. Her passion for service to humanity; her dedication to education, for herself and every woman; and her affinity toward Zambia and its people were the impetus for the creation of this scholarship by her family.
In collaboration with the Banani International School leadership, the Fund will serve as a way to support young women who are building their capabilities to become champions of service to the world.
